During this week’s Herbal Conference, there was a discussion on connecting with local herbalists. The idea of an herbal club came up. I’m very interested in herbalism but feel so new to the idea, I’m not sure what I could offer. But I have a fair amount of confidence in gardening!
A gardening club is pretty self-explanatory. But there’s a concept I’d like to bring into a club if I were to ever make one. Once or twice a month, the members band together and build a garden element for a winning club member or raffle winner. With enough club members, it’d be the price of a board, a box of nails, or a bag of dirt. We’d all meet up on a weekend and build a raised bed for the winning member. Throughout the year, our gardens would grow, and it wouldn’t be so pricey.
For now, a gardening club (plus woodshop) is more of a dream for Chayotix Homestead, but a girl can dream! Let me know what you think!
