Just to start, I’m not an affiliate. I just kept getting the ad for CoopCrate on my socials and finally gave it a go. But I managed to order just before the second box would ship so now, I have two!
The April Box
The first box came with a soft bristle brush, strawberry treat, sunflower seeds, peppermint candies, and a crumble cookie treat mix. Unfortunately, I’m allergic to strawberries, so Leon or my sister gives the chickies those treats. But my main goal in ordering was to get the muffin mix. I didn’t get it, but cookies are close. We baked the cookies with some insect trail mix added in. They were a hit!
The star of the box, to my surprise, was the little packet of sunflower hearts. All the chicks went NUTS over them, even moreso than they did with mealworms. I thought the chicks would like the soft brush more, but maybe it’ll grow on them.
The May Box
The May crate came with more sunflower seeds, Epsom salt, cookies, a brush and a maraca. The sunflower seeds are gone already. (Of course.) The cookies are a little tough to crumble up for my chickies. They almost cause knuckle damage before they’re willing to break. I haven’t moved the chicks to the coop yet so there’s no call for the maraca yet. It’s meant to help train your chicks to come to you. (I’m sure using treats.)
I’m excited for the future crates! I imagine the Disney chickies are too. Especially if they come with more sunflower seeds. Who knew the seeds would be better than mealworms and soldier fly larva?
